contemporary discoveries in science and the shock of rapid developement in
information technology that have taken place in recent years, combined with a
movement within human society from spiritual values to an emphasis on materialism
and secularism have created a chaotic and unhappy world. These changes have
marginalized the important role that religion has long held as an influence for
goodness and right in everyday life. These conditions require Muslims to be much
more vigilant and responsible against the corrupting effects of western secular
